A characteristic feature is its heavily thickened caudex with a system of internal cavities, which it shares with the other members of the Hydnophytinae. In contrast to most species of the genus, however, \u003cem\u003eS. kajewskii\u003c\/em\u003e to date, however \u003cstrong\u003eno ant colonies have been detected\u003c\/strong\u003e .
